RRE UPDATE: Phase I of RRE Campaign was carried out in 2007-08 with the direct reach to 6.2 million. RRE Phase II started on the World AIDS Day -1st December, 2009 and it will return back to Delhi on 29 November 2010. Phase II is being implemented by National AIDS Control Organization in partnership with Railways and Natinal Rural Health Mission. In RRE Phase II (2009-2010) the train will cover over 25000 kms pass through 22 states and stop at 152 stations. Focus of this RRE Campaign is on semi-urban and rural areas. The Coverage of RRE- II, till 29 April, 2010 is - in 8 states 21.59 lakhs Persons directly reached through train and outreach, Total 36,946 lakhs are trained, Total 26,540 lakhs are counselled and total 16,690 lakhs are tested for HIV. Chennai had Maximum visitors (75,000). Gujarat had Maximum outreach (4.5 lakh) through camel carts and bike caravan by the Red Ribbon Clubs RRCs). In Uttar Pradesh till, 19th September, 2010 RRE has covered 11 Districts. Till 12th September, 2010 (Bhatni Jn.
